picot lace knitting.

picot lace knitting is like crochet lace on very thin crochet cotton on a 2.5 mm double pointed needle.
to make up the lace patterns you make a series of picot points by casting on and casting off stitches to make different sized points.
as you cans see iv'e made a lattice shape then a flower and now a flower with added lattice.

this new technique is something that i really like but is very old fashioned but i love the idea of making doilies and coasters out of this pattern.

new spiral heel socks

as uni is finished i allows myself to cast on anew pair of socks a spiral heel pair which i got the pattern from the knitter magazine.

the sock is going well and is made from hand dyed wool dyed my me but i am struggling with the idea that i have to cut into the sock to make the leg .

graduation knitting

Now that uni is finally over i am able to put on-line my knitting for this years third year collection.
because of the collection my personal knitting has be greatly neglected meaning that now i have the summer to finish all started projects and work on my new wool business.
for my collection i ended up making over ten pieces of knitting and made 29 Dorset buttons meaning hat not a single button in the collection was shop brought.

new lace weight shawl

My love for noro wool now means iv'e started another lace weight shawl, the colour is amazing and the wool fantastic the pattern uses a pie method which means you double the number of stitches for the number of rows you do to create a perfect circle. The pattern is from easy knits one of the best wool dyers i think.
i am still working thought 8 repeats of the same 4 rows they are driving me insane i am so bored.
