new dorset buttons

for my show i have been making many new Dorset buttons but i have been having to duplicate the buttons making them the same size and design which has been more difficult.
i have a week to go before my first show and  i am very busy making button sets.
hopefull before the show i  will be able to make many more sets.

first show finished.

my first shop has been and gone it was a great success i sold many of my kits and dorset buttons. my wool also went down very well.

the shop was at abson village fair just outside Bristol and even though it was small i had a great time with the other stall holders one who sold amazing hand made cards and the other delicious cupcakes.

my first ever show as a business is fast approaching its next week am i am nearly very ready.
having made key rings , dorset buttons patterns and knitting kits i would say that i feel good about the impending week even though i am a little nervous.
my mum also id going to add to my stall her mini teddy bears which she has made for most of my life.
To advertise and market much of my products i have extensively been using stamps and has made a large stamp made for my boxes as the logo instead of using stickers or getting a box printed myself.

wool dyeing

for my shop i have again started wool dyeing again

This new batch of dyeing has been very successful i have been using a new method of dyeing in the microwave not on the hop which is getting much better colours and mixing.

caron thread Dorset buttons

for my business i am making my own Dorset buttons and to do this i am using one of my favourite  threads which is hand dyed.

you get about 27 metered per scien but you do have to un ply the thread to make it the correct thickness for making Dorset buttons.
the colours are coming out very beautifully and are making many beautiful dorset buttons.
