finished dog coat

My dog William is very old and needs constant care but in the winter and autumn he needs a hand knitted house coat all the time as he gets very cold very easily, over the years i have made many dog coats last year he had a monogrammed creme and blue coat with his name on.
his new coat is made of chunky sidar wool in bright purple and has a lovely collar and straps which i sued a special whippet pattern which is made for the whippet shape with a hump for his back and his deep chest.

for winter this will be a lovely coat to go under his rain coat when he goes out for his walks.

the coat is coming along nicely but is taking its time it is much larger than i originally thought and needs much more knitting  and has many more small pieces to knit for the undersides of the coat as well as the funnel neck.
